THIS IS AN IMPORTANT REMINDER REGARDING YOUR J-1 VISA
Upon arrival to the United States, you MUST remember to check in with CICD so that your J-1 visa can be validated in SEVIS.
When you check in, you must provide CICD with your US contact information: the address where you are living and a phone number where we can reach you.

If you have trouble with the above link, you can also check in by email, or you can call our office at: (206) 957-7112.
If you fail to check in with CICD, you risk going into Invalid status in SEVIS which means that you will not be able to work legally in the United States.
Also, please note that if for any reason you have changed employers, you must notify CICD immediately. Otherwise, you will risk being terminated from the program and your visa will be cancelled.
Therefore, please remember to check in with CICD upon arrival to the United States!
