But seriously, I´m writing to you lovely Turkish CSers to ask for some advice. My friend here in Spain was robbed of her purse, she lost money, phone, crediat card, but mot importantly...HER PASSPORT!!! ARGHHHHHHH! She has upcoming travel plans and just called the Turkish embassy in Madrid, which told her that she cannot travel at all without her passport, except directly to Turkey. We are gonig to the embassy tomorrow to find out if there is any other way she can travel without her passport. She does have a copy of the passport, as well as a document from the Spanish police explaining that the passport is stolen, but the embassy said this wont be enough. She has a flight to Italy on Friday, and we´re worried they wont let her take it, and that she´ll be blocked from gonig to any other countries without the passport. It is not possible for her because of financial reasons to fly to Turkey, so its not an option to just go to Turkey, sort out the passport issues, and continue with her prior plans. Our questions that we would LOVE help with:
1) Has this ever happened to anyone else?
2) Does anyone know if there are other documents that can suffice in place of a passport so she can continue to travel?
3) If she skips the flight to Italy, and instead takes buses eastward, will there still be problems, especially when she needs to leave the EU for a place in Eastern Europe like Croatia, or any other country that doesnt require a visa from Turkish citizens?
4) Does anyone else have advice, suggestions, or know anyone who can help?

We would be sooo grateful for any and all assistance we receive, because this robbing has completely screwed up our plans. Tesekkur ederiz!
